Torch-Seared Garlic Butter Prawns

Why it works:

Ingredients

  • Prawns – 250 g (cleaned)

  • Butter – 2 tbsp

  • Garlic – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

  • Salt & pepper – to taste

  • Chilli flakes – optional

Method

  1. Heat a pan lightly and melt butter.

  2. Add garlic and sauté until aromatic.

  3. Place prawns flat in the pan.

  4. Use the jet flame torch to sear the prawns directly for 5–7 seconds per side until lightly charred.

  5. Finish with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chilli flakes.

Result: Smoky, restaurant-style prawns with perfect caramelization.
